Wagon Tail modification
Ok...so from experience I don't recommend doing tail light modification on a wagon. It is a PITA.
But I have had a bunch of people ask about it from my garage photos.
Here are some new pics:
These are 07 tail lamps that I got off someone for cheap on the boards.
They were dremeled open, pulled apart painted & a custom LED board from Todd @ retro solutions. (http://www.retro-solutions.com/)
After the retrofit was complete, the wiring harness was set up so that:
OEM turn signals = reverse lamps
OEM driving lamps/brake lights = turn signals
LED array= driving & brake lamps
The way the lamps were cut looks like crap once they are glued back together...so.
I had to get the lights painted black around the outside border & a special plastic clear coat was applied over the top to look flush.
I had a little battle with water-leak, but I solved the problem.
I will try and get some night photos up, or maybe I will make it out to a local meet soon.
Feel free to ask questions on anything & thanx for looking.
Matt
