Talking w00t, car tax repealed

Yeah, it's a bad idea for the state, as we're in a financial hole, but as a currently unemployed driver with renewal coming up, I'm happy.....

curious to see how much opposition will come up when he goes to repeal it.....

Should read "Car tax to be repealed"
It's on Arnolds Agenda

Yeah, no link yet, but watching his inauguration, he says it will be repealed immediately. What's still sketchy is how refunds will be down for everybody who's paid since June.

from teh article...
-----------
The new governor said he would repeal the big hike in the car tax immediately.

"As soon as I go inside the Capitol behind me I will sign my first order as governor. I will sign Executive Order No. 1 -- which will repeal the 300 percent increase in the car tax," he said.

-----------

i will have to call DMV to ask about this then. would it be effective immediately, with an emphasis on those of us who have been sent our renewal forms with the new car tax rate?
