VP fuels in San Jo!

Has anyone noticed that there’s a VP Racing Fuels gas station on Camden between Union and Leigh. Wonder if they’re gon have 100 proof? Or 93.

VP Racing fuel is bad for your fuel system in left in the tank. Only use the amount you need then flush out the rest.

My friends and I have been waiting for another one to show up. The one in Los Altos off of Foothill closed right after I purchased the Subie.

How long can the fuel sit in the tank if it is that bad/corrosive?

Left in the tank = 1 day or 1 year?

Are you talking about just the 100 oct?

I regularly ran their 93 for a year with no issues and my car ran smoother.

That sounds a lot like the fuel additive they added into all the gas a few years back before they started realizing it was seeping out and polluting all the ground water. I think it was MTBE IIRC.

WAYYYYYY different than their pump grade and car grade stuff. The stuff you are talking about is a high grade leaded, closer to JP5 than it is regular unleaded. You are right, do not leave their race fuel in the tank long. However you can leave the "street" grade stuff in no problem.

There is a VP in downtown San Leandro, they have at pump 93 street, 100 street, and 103 street

And the owner can order 5 gal, 25 gal, and 55gal of any of the VP products. I have 3 5gal of 103 sitting in the garage waiting for the forester to be done so I can dyno it

Ahhh... that's what I thought. So, in conclusion, the pump gas is fine, even the 100+ stuff, nice. No more blending 100 Octane Sunoco or Torco stuff.

BugEyeRex02 and I are hella going to grab that 93 pump gas tonight, for shizzle.

I know exactly where that is. Any idea how their price for 100 octane compares with the 76 station on Almaden?
