The other day I was going to drop by Vishnu in Pleasanton, and when I tried to go in the front door it was locked all the lights were off and a "For Rent" sign was up in the window. What happend ?! I call their 'sales' line and no one picks up the phone. It is a mystery to me, has anyone else noticed ?

They were still there about a month ago and the shop was full of cars. Since they are a vendor on this site I would assume they would announce a move or a closure.

 

They are alive and kicken...just check EVOm site.

 

Here is the scoop, I got ahold of some people who know whats happening. . .

The Santa Rita site is the install area. The South Eagles nest is Shiv's house turned sales office. The rent sign is because they want to move to Union City.

Yep.... installs/tuning are done by appointment only since our sales/customer support has moved off site last month. In the near future, we hope to move the install/tuning center to someplace more centralized in the Bay Area. Hence our "for rent" sign.

What, is there a better high-speed test track in Union City?

 

I can think of a few spots in Fremont and Newark that are good test "tracks"

 

I am gonna miss pleasanton since it is about 15 minutes away from my house, and the 'sales' location is about 6 blocks.

Both myself and Brandon (our tech) are at the shop almost all of the time keeping ourselves busy with installs/tuning. One can still drop by there to look at parts or to ask questions. But we still recommend calling the sales office first to arrange a time just in case we off on errands or with customers.

It's just the telephone sales/support guys that moved off site. It would be hard to drop in on them since doing so would involve slipping under the Blackhawk security gates and getting chased by the Country Club police folks. They may attack you with golf clubs unless you know the secret password and handshake.
