I need a vin for ordering parts. I have the interior of an '04 WRX in my STi now and need to order a few bits. The only way my stealership searches for parts is by vin.

yeah 04 is grey carpet and 05 is black. I want an 05 carpet kit but it's grip?????

 

Yeah my carpet is still blue Luckily my STi black floor mats almost cover the whole thing up.. The only thing I didn't swap. I should have though but tiome was limited. It was a black carpet too out of an '06 WRX. He just happen to have Jumpman old '04 seats and door cards.

btw how much is the carpet kit?

 

The 04 and 05 have different interiors. Both are black but have different fabric/patterns.

the interiors are totally different. The only similarity is the seat cores are the same and the door panel cores I believe are the same...and the dash. The center consol is different. The floor carpet was grey in 04 it's black in 05. The seats are black in both but do have different patterns. The 05 interior is much much nicer than the 04 in pretty much every way. The plastics are different from 04 to 05...some of them.

If your carpet is black...it's 05. If your seats came out of the same car...they're 05. theh patterns are different so you can just peak into an 05 and see if yours look like that.

I will get pics. Long story but the guy I just got this interior from kept his carpet and traded an '04 owner seats and door cards (he had a '06 WRX that's why his carpet was black). The seats are just like my STi seats just black. Best I can describe the door card material as being fabric carbon fiber-esque? The best thing is I have a rear seat pass through now!!!!!!one1!!!111

question for '04 owners, did you have power mirrors? If so where were your controls for it?

 

controls are down on the center consol next to the cup holder.

 

aww makes sense, right where my DCCD control is. I think I am going to buy a set of controls, and mount them next to the intercooler spray button. Had to manually adjust my mirrors last night, ghetto fabulous.....
