Vigilante or Hero?
figured some people here would want to see this
http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/story?sec...rticle-6840258
Confronted by two holdup men, pharmacist Jerome Ersland pulled a gun, shot one of them in the head and chased the other away. Then, in a scene recorded by the drugstore's security camera, he went behind the counter, got another gun, and pumped five more bullets into the wounded teenager as he lay on the floor. Now Ersland has been charged with first-degree murder in a case that has stirred a furious debate over vigilante justice and self-defense and turned the pharmacist into something of a folk hero.

HERO for sure. I would've done the same, I agree with the caller that stated "All of the shots should have been in the head". What if the robber had been semiconscious and had a gun? That would have been an opportunity for the robber to shoot the guy back while he was calling 911.
Execution style murder? **** that, its called SELF DEFENSE

One reason its a big deal is it was a white on black shooting. That and it was in Oklahoma which is still a segregated state. I know first hand since i have family there and I've seen it.
Also the guy who got he chased away pulled a gun on him. What makes me laugh is how the mom was so applaud her son died. If your son goes around robbing people at gun point and is stupid enough to rob a place that has a history of being robbed he obviously deserved it.

Yeah she said something like "He didn't have to shoot him like that." My reply to her if I were him would be "He would have shot me like that, they attacked me, not vice versa."

hero. the kid deserved it. in fact, i'm glad that the kid survived the first bullet wound to feel the pain before the next 5 went in him.
lesson: don't rob people.

He is going to jail though. You cant take the law into ur own hands. Our system is funny like that. Because he did defend himself but didnt have to kill him.
