V1 saves my hide...again!
I was going from San Jose to Sacramento, Friday AM. Almost into Sac around 8:45am the Valentine One goes full strength on the Ka-band arrow pointing straight ahead. I look around and see a white Camaro CHP going the opposite direction. I thought no big deal...then I was about to take off again and on the side of the road (on my side) are 3-Camaros and a squad car. I was already slowed by then.
I love the V1! Saved me multiple times since I've had it.

i love mine... saved me at least 2 dozen times in the past 5 months i've owned it.
it works the best on freeways, especially going up/down 101/5 towards LA.
you should hardwire it to the center flip down visor.... it's very stealthy and can't be seen.

valentineone.com or valentine1.com one of those..
try e-bay, but the pricing won't be that much different. i'm thinking about getting one, but i don't speed that much and when i do, it's on backroads that i know by heart.

remember it's a radar detector, not a cop detector so you still gotta pay attention to your surroundings.
and cops don't usually use radar on city streets so you'll get a lot of false alarms (automatic door openers @ stores)

Mountain View police use radar on city streets there. Also the CHP and other Sheriff around Santa Clara (and other cities) use them also. I've actually received a ticket on Whisman Road in MV when I was in a hurry and forgot to hook up the V1 while "just" going down the street. Caught by radar & motorcycle cop...
But definitely, keep your eyes open!
