I just got a UTEC for my 03 WRX. My mods are:

Turbo inlet pipe, STi Intercooler, uppipe, downpipe, and muffler.

Anyway, I downloaded the octane challenged stage 2 map from TXS and went out to test things. The short of it is that I'm getting knock at WOT.

I've backed things up a bit and am running fine. But I'd like to take a look at other people's maps to compare what they've done to make their UTEC happy with the crappy gasoline they sell around here.

Any maps or tips would be appreciated.

 

i think the map u download from txs is mapped for 93 octane...

 

There were two option, Stage 2 and Stage 2 octane challenged.

I downloaded the octane challenged map. Then I wrote a script to compare the octane challenged map with the stage 1 93 octane map. The only differences were that the octane challenged stage 2 map had backed off timing from the stage 1 map. I thought this would be a good thing.
