I just bought my TurboXS uppipe and it came in today. Is anyone willing to help me install my uppipe over the weekend (11.5.05)? I'm located in Daly City. If anyone, please pm me... thanks!
By the way, I bought it from GnV Motosports and they were very good in dealing with customers. Give them a try, I highly recommend them!

with 2 people it takes about 3-4 hours or more depending on tools.
Unless you know the torque specs by heart, and every nut and bolt, it takes a while.
Basically its these things in order:
Take off:
intercooler
air intake filter box
turbo heat shield
downpipe
Plastic skid plate
passenger side exhaust manifold(header)
At this point you need to loosen the passenger side engine mount, jack up the motor about 2 inches, then remove the 5 nuts from the top of the uppipe studs.
Pull the upipe out carefully not to nock the EGT sensor(I think you can take this out before hand, but I didn't).
Also to help loosen nuts spray with PB blaster or WD40.
I think it may be easier to remove the 3rd cat and downpipe instead of separating the two.
Reverse the instructions to re-assemble.

I'm assuming you're jacking up the engine.
the air filter box doesn't need to be removed.
This is what i do.
Remove intercooler, downpipe, heatshileds on turbo, loosen the nuts for the uppipe, cut the heatshield for the manifold sensor (can't find the right socket for it
), loosen the engine mount on the passenger side, jack up the motor with a floor jack, unplug the sensor on the uppipe and the stock uppipe should be good to go.
putting it back is easy.

The install is a pita, but it's much easier with two people. Make sure there are no children around so they don't hear your inevitable transformation from mild mannered business man to sailor. ;-)
