Also, some committees or teams have been formed to organize it.

It'll be in Sept or sometime similar. July (the traditional month) is FAR too hot, and has been every single year. It's like mother nature knows what day we do it on and throw us a heat wave and it's some kind of record breaker.
This event takes A LOT of time to plan/deal with people/funders/etc/etc. I've been damn busy for the last few months and will be for a couple more to come. However, I've decided to take some time off of business and such to work on this for you guys. I know Jeff was planning on helping me with this and he's been a great support. For a while I didn't think I'd be doing it and Jeff was going to do some seperate type of meet for you'z at a different location.
This time I'll lie my *** off to the people that rent/own the park at Hammy so that we can all show up there again... I think it's possible as long as I play my cards right. They wont know it's us until we're there and they can't kick us out because we're all paying customers and have a right to be there. So HA!
I needs to start with the vendor stuff to get some funding because I can't do this out of pocket anymore... Money is going towards a wedding/house/etc... Life is def a lot different than it was 7 years ago.

Also, so you guys know, the people at the south bay regional park office are VERY slow at doing anything. I called them about a month ago (a few times actually) and they STILL haven't got back to me. I should call them again, but frankly I've been lazy... It'll be done though. Not going to make this a special event due to the fact that we need to provide insurance, etc... I'm just going to rent pretty much all the rental sights so that we have the whole park to ourselves, that way we'll be legitimate, but skip the special event fees (BAAAANK).
I'm so smrt... I mean smart.

Personally I haven't done much of anything. We had a meeting that was general in terms of what needed to be done. I admit, I went off on some sort of a tangent. I visualize things on a much larger scale. Now it seems clear that the focus is on a local BAIC meet. My vision was a meet that would inspire guests from all over the west coast to drive to the bay for a must attend event.
We stated that our #1 priority was to establish a location. To my knowledge no definate local has been established. No communication has been established by the members of the orginization comittee. Daniel I got your pm, if that's the way you want to handle it, fine. Please send me the contacts you have established through the South Bay parks, or what other information you may have. In addition members of the comittee need to meet again. It's way past crunch time. If you don't think you'll be able to put out let me know.

I think we should really meet again. Not hearing from anyone for a while I seriously went way the hell out there. I did talk to some interesting people though. I'm glad you're still on board Daniel. I seriously want to work with you and the other members on this. I think there is much to be done, waiting til the last minute to finish it up is not the best idea.
Alemeda, is up in the air. They told me that they want to limit the number of car events that happen there every year. I call ed then three weeks ago, again, still nothing back. I guess it's time to ring them again. This is a very desireable location in my eyes, it takes virtually all of the burden off of the organizers to provide food and drink.
Well just by looking at thier web site, there was good reason why they didn't get back to me. They were obviously in the process of booking other events. Sept and Oct are booked.

(We should know soon)
