Up pipe Question? ASAP!
I'm looking at buying a hks Up pipe for $70. All that comes with it is a gasket and the up pipe. Do I need anything else? I heard something about a cel? What is this? Its on ebay, and there is only a couple of hours left, so I need some info fast! Thanks!

to even get to the up pipe you will be taking off your down pipe too. I believe its actually the downpipe that causes the cel light. if so all you need is a cel light fix depending on the year of your wrx shouldn't be an issue but your looking at a long LONG install time on your own

Don't listen to RoadSpike.
If you replace the factory EGT sensor in the new catless uppipe, it will fail eventually, causing a CEL and/or limp mode (very unpleasant). Therefore, do not reuse the factory EGT sensor, plug the hole with a bolt (M12x1.25), and do the EGT Resistor Mod. This is simple: plug in a 2.2k ohm, 1/2 watt resistor into the EGT plug. Search on clubwrx.net for "EGT resistor mod" if you need pics and more info.

ok awesome i just hate giving bad info
I'm working with a totally catless system over in ej20t forum trying to get the rear o2 sensor to cut its crap out with the p0139 cel code. I think i have a viable solution but you never know till it hits the road.
I should have more info on it by next week when we try out a couple things but *shrugs* anything can happen

I think that probably depends on how much of an a** your dealer is
. I have been told that some do not care and others are highly against it.
Like all performance mods though you definitely run the risk of voiding the motor warranty.
I suppose if you bolt on the stock components they wouldn't be able to tell. Definitely wait for a second opinion or ask your dealer for info.
