I guess the trade of J-Rich as Stephen A put it, was to free up cap room. J-Rich had 4 years @ $46 mill left on his contract. Also as Stephen A put it, he says the Warriors got the better end of the deal.
I like the trade for a few reason assuming that Wright is as good as the reports say. I didn't watch too much ACC hoops this year. Wright FT% does worry me. We need guys that can knock them down from the line.
With stephen jackson here, moving jrich is a smart move. he is tied up for alot of money. with jrich off the books, this year we can resign pietrus and/or barnes and have enough to sign monta and biedrinis.

welp, i told you guys back in the playoff threads that j-rich was as good as gone this offseason. dude deserved much better than to be dealt to the lowly bobkittens, but what can you do.....it's a business.
oh well, it wasn't THE trade that Mullin+the W's needed to make (packaging Monta+whomever to move up into the Top 8 for a shot at Yi), but at least they made a step in the right direction by getting some more down low punch in Brandan Wright. hopefully the dude pans out.
let's see how the rest of this unfolds. personally, the draft has been pretty anti-climatic.....was looking (PRAYING) for Kupcake to finally get something right and make a few moves, but c'est la vie........
