Learned that when some salesman was trying to call them a wagon and sedan, and the Subaru rep was correcting him. We don't sell wagons...wagons are for moms and old people!!!

It's not going to suck for me since I will not be caught dead in that thing! Not only do I hate the looks, I hate everything they have done with it! Engine, exterior, under body, EVERYTHING!
The interior I don't hate, it's comparable to the current WRX.
Subaru did a really good job at f'ing themselves with this abortion of a subie.
Who works for their design team!? I honestly would love to sit in on one of their meetings just to see what goes through their friggin' minds!!!

But ya, that exhaust setup is just like the LGT.
Hit the nail right on the head with this one. When a company sees only a particular market of people buying the car, they will cater the looks to broaden the range of those buying, thus filling their pockets even more

In this case I think it only took hearing that a handful of people traded in their WRX's on Mazda 3's.
Sadly they seem to have missed the fact that people made that move for the sake of handling probably more than styling, so subaru responds with a cosmetic clone, but softer suspension?
I'll be happy when the STI comes out, but I'll also be looking ahead for the next silly revision, who knows, they might just get it right one of these days....

thanks for the pics Silke/roo, represent us "WAGONS" well at hammy...

according to the pics above, it looks like they went with an equal length header design. is this a poor-er design? you might loose the sound we all love. but if it performs better how is this poorly designed?
also a rear multi link setup with not-so-macphearson struts. this kicks ***. now if they could trash the macphearson struts in the front this car would be 99% more betterer.
so what's poorly re-designed? the looks? that's an opinionated statement. apearently it works just fine/better in the wrc.

Hairpins? Drop the clutch, apex the corner, engage the clutch, and take off like I were in first at 2k+rpm...
This thing had wild amounts of torque, and simply pulled all through the entire powerband. The suspension really felt nice. It absorbed the bumps really well, while handling the road like an auto-x course.
Driving this WRX 5 door back down Hammy? Extraordinary. Anyone who thinks that the decision to use the 2-pot setup after having the red 4-pot setup on the '06-07 needs to really feel this in order to understand. The improvements in the braking make the 2-pot setup feel confident on the road, and all the way down Hammy, I was expecting to have brake fade...and be forced to slow down...
...there wasn't, and I didn't.

So it turns out that the 08 WRX is NOT like the picture that Roo posted. The WRX will have the same configuration as the current wrx, so no worries.
The picture that Roo posted is of the non-turbo Impreza. It's the Equal length headers that the current 07' 2.5i has.
I confirmed this with many people, including the guy that came to hammy in the 08' wrx.
