The Ultimate turbo suck just happened

2 days after Mike at GST tunes my car so nicely, I'm working to get the car ready to pass SMOG which consists of the LGT TMIC, intake etc.. The BPV hose is a custom bit to w/ my AVO FMIC, so I was farting around w/ new hose from Kragen when I moved onto testing nut fitment on one of the compressor outlet studs and sure enough, fell right in.

Yep, Bolt fell into turbo.

Any suggestions on getting this thing out?

I tried a flexible magnet, no luck but the "head" of the magnet is too long. LOL. I need something that is flexible to go into the LGT style compressor w/ a small magnet head.

Remove the turbo...If you can change your TMIC you can take off your turbo. Sucks about your luck though.

Just take the turbo off, turn it upside down, reinstall and drink a beer.

anyone on the peninsula that can lend a hand, pm me. I'll supply beer and pizza.

I really need this done today and could use a spare set of hands.

**** bro if i wasnt meeting family id roll down there.
why does everyone drain their oil to pull the turbo?i never have and it always works out fine.just seems like a waste.
what size nut and what is it made of?
if the nut olny went into the outlet of the turbo theres a good chance its just resting on the wheel.take a pic and maybe i can fab a tool to get it out.i have 5 different magnets i use for these very situations

For some reason I always thought you drain the oil for turbo install.
