Why not run in the rain? The first auto-x I ever did was in the rain, and I still say it was one of the most fun.

it COULD though, last years autoX there was snow on hwy 1 in Santa Cruz and that was like 100 ft elevation!

That would definitely get me to the autoX by noon!
