maan, tell me why that silva and griffin fight looked so fixed. that definitely was not griffin in the octagon that night. Right before he got knocked, Griffin began with an over extended straight that led to his awkward forward movement, as if he was just waiting for that punch to come. Joe even said it looked more like a "paw" with "no power"...silva didnt even turn his hips! Griffin is a scrapper, trains hard, and takes a lot of punches...his fall looked fishy too, it didnt looked natural at all, like he lifted his leg up to make it more dramatic...my two cents
Actually, I'm going to keep up with the Strikeforce stuff now. I'll try to host a strikeforce night sometime.

Well, one thing I think a lot of people don't realize is that Forrest also ran into the punch. There's this term "arm punch" that punching with arm strength can't get power and a person needs to put their body weight behind the punch.
Well, often times when you see a backwards moving KO like Silva pulled off, and Mayweather, RJJ will pull off, the other guy running into the punch is effectively putting their own body weight into it.
Guy running into your fist =(just as much power as)= you putting your body weight into it.
There's an old saying in boxing: "The best possible situation is to create a collision" [of the other guy moving forward and his head running into your fist]

I missed that in the stream then. Cause I was watching Forrest following silva around, throwing some weak punches, and then silva got cocky, and put the hands down, and then wammo, forrest is down.

Silva hit him straight on the side of the jaw. does not take to much pressure to pinch the nerves there and knock someone out.
Also, he was knocked around a few times from some very hard punches in the beginning of the fight. Silva is just to fast to have anyone really challenge him in his weight class.

I didn't see it. I heard some folks saying it was a dive. But I have a hard time seeing forrest dive. That dude has taken some HUGE beatings and kept on fighting.
Fact of the matter is the right place at the right time... doesn't take much. Trust me.
