Predictions?

I think Rashad Evans is going to beat Lyoto Machida by decision.

I like both fighters, good quality. Machida is probably more exciting to watch. I doubt it goes 5 rounds. Someone is going to get KO'ed or submitted.

Evans

Evans just looks too badass to lose....I don't think he would want to give up the belt.....

I honestly hate the way machida fights. It's smart but its irritating. All it takes is for one person to not get frustrated and be quick enough to time a counter. I think evans is that guy. I think evans knocks him out in the second round. No way it's gonna go 5.

Only way machida wins is if evans gets cocky or frustrated and charges in and makes a mistake and eats a head kick or knee when he dips for an overhand right.

The rest of the card interests me more to tell you the truth. I'm not really a fan of either of the headliners.

Roop and Kaplan could turn out to be a great fight. I think Roop takes it though.
Yoshida is always entertaining.
Soszynski gets to prove himself.
Bradley and Nover should be a good chess match. We'll get to see if Nover is progressing.
Larson/Wilson could be the knock out of the night. I'm pulling for larson for sure.
Sherk/McFedries/Sonnen/.... all good fights.

And of course the Serra/Hughes showdown. Serra looks like he's in really good shape so this could turn out to be a hell of a fight. See how much Hughes has in the tank.

McFedries could be a huge knock out as well.

edit for predictions...
Evans KO 2nd round
Serra knee bar 3rd round might go to decision... if it does hughes wins because of take downs and being in control for 2 rounds.
McFedries KO first
Sonned triangle 2nd or a decision
Edgar KO 1st
Larson stop on strikes 1st
Hague KO knees 2nd
Nover arm bar 3rd
Soszynski arm bar 1st
Yoshida decision
Roop arm bar 3rd because Kaplan gases

argh! although machida's style is great for points I HATE his fighting style and I want him to eat it hard!

"ohh look at me how I dodge this and that and throw in these jabs for points frustrating my oponent"

BOO!

it's like anderson silva (i <3 his style but not his last fight) which he wasn't doing anything wrong, just protecting himself by refusing to take it to the ground. it made it boring!

I'm looking to see some carnage in a fight!

I do not like Lyoto at all. But I will be damned if he isn't skilled. He will dominate Evans. Matt Hughes FTW. I hope he wins, but I want him to stop fighting. Seeing Alves knock him out hurt my feelings.

Yeah Lyoto just reminds me of watching those for point bouts. Like he's scared to get hit.

He's been fortunate enough to face guys that he was able to frustrate. And he's usually able to get in and out before people can react with his jabs and kicks. I honestly think he's gonna get caught. Evans has faster heavier hands than anyone he's faced yet.

Look what Tito did to him when he was able to get close.

I mean he's smart. The guys that ground and pound he just stays away. The JJ guys he kick boxes and the strikers he goes JJ. Very smart fighter.

If Evans watched the Ortiz fight hopefully he saw the ****** in lyoto's game.

I am not a huge evans fan but I think lyoto would be the most boring champion ever. Once he gets beat once he's in trouble.

Machida's going to win in either a decision bout or a tko on Evans. Evans won't be able to shoot on Machida to score points like in 80% of his fights so all he's got to hope for is a a lucky strike that connects for a ko. Good luck with that since Machida rarely gets hit.

Without Evans being able to shoot, Machida's going to pick Evans apart round by round and win every round through octagon control. And/or score a tko on Evans.

I would agree with you, but watch his Thiago Silva fight where Machida straight up OWNs this guy.

I mean... watch Thiago Silva's fights how he friggin' destroys everybody... and then watch Machida jack him up in one round.

But yeah, I do think Evans will at least land a few hard ones. I mean there's actually only one guy who's been able to land a flush punch on Machida - BJ Penn, lol...

anybody know a free but reliable streaming website that won't get cut off by UFC?

justin.tv is always the first to get taken off air.

Machida's lightning fast hands got the best of Rashad Evans. He got knocked out in a major way. Great fight.
