just heard not too long ago from a coworker that Kimbo Slice is joining the UFC. What are your thoughts about him? I've only seen one or two of his fights on youtube, but I'm guessing if he fights anybody with a ground game, he's gonna get owned since he seems to be just mainly a street fighter.

as for the UFC82, no ppv here, but I hope Dan Henderson wins.

seriously... UFC 81 was an awesome showing, but this one was ****ing stupid.

Who can beat Anderson?
BJ Penn, but their weights are too far off. If BJ got a little bigger and Silva cut down, it would make for an interesting exhibition match! BJ has beating people bigger than him before, I think he could do it again.

I feel sorry for Brock Lesner - If you swapped Lesner and Kimbo I BET YOU Kimbo would have been submitted by Mir. I hope Kimbo along with Lesner stir up the heavyweight division though. Kinda crappy as of late.

I dunno about that. Silva's too good at kneeing people in the head though...

Seriously though, I think Hendo can beat Silva on a good day. Some people have commented that Silva might even be dominant at 205 - I don't know about that, LHW as well as welterweight is in my opinion, where all the star uber-talent is right now. At 185 you only really have Silva and Hendo. The fact that Round 1 happened the way it did, points to the fact that this fight coudl have swung either way.

I wish they'd take back out rounds and allow knees on the ground, after all Pride allows them.

Noah, funny you mention Dave Terrel. I had an opportunity to go train with some of his students that I flaked on. My gyms bjj coach is friends with him and every once in awhile he drives up in a van and brings some people from our gym to roll with his guys. No competition, just to gain more experience with different guys.
