I didn't realize so many people near me are MMA fans.

Next time, i'll try to throw a ight night get together.

Honestly, Chuck sucks. As much as I hate tito, i wanted tito to win. I'm tired of the fan boys for chuck.

Actually, the Pride leftovers (CroCop and Jackson) are going to come and shut up the white trash middle america that roots so blindly for:

Chuck
Tim Silvia
Matt Hughes

I can't wait for BJ Penn to take his title back. I can't wait for Jackson to put Chuck in the hospital, and I can't wait for CroCrop to mop the ring with Tim's face.

UFC is actually looking exciting now, and man do i want those retarded rednecks to STFU.

Fedor fight was great. anyone watch pride at all??

I think everyone has their own opinion, but I also think that many people take Chuck's very unorthodox way of fighting as him "sucking". He's knocked some people out with some throws that don't look like completely bonecrushing or skullsmashing hits. IMO, he's ****en awesome...

chuck is really not that "unorthodox". he's a straight striker, with a better than excellent take down defense. not much to it...he just does it REALLY GOOD. you can think of tito as the 'Mike Tyson" of boxing...alot of hype, but never beats anyone of quality...and if you say Ken Shamrock...Ken's like 50 years old. tito would be no match for ken in his prime (pre-WWF). and you never hear tito utter the words "FRANK Shamrock"...hmmm...!!!

i'm more a Pride fan that really respects chuck. you have to remember that when Rampage beat chuck, they had both fought previously that same night, and chuck's fight was tougher that Rampage's. it would be real interesting now to see them fight. since then, chuck has really elevated his game, and Rampage went on a 3 fight losing streak only to become re-dedicated to the sport.

bj needs to make a big statement in his next fight. he's "lost" 2 in a row that he should have one (i still think he should have got the decision over GSP). he needs to train straight cardio...no fighthing, sparring, jiujitsu...just keep running...!!!

i agree, Mirko is going to make every UFC heavyweight look silly.

sorry...i could talk mma all day...

bottom line, UFC and Pride are both sick...cuz it's people doing something that we know none of us can do. I'm not out there, I'm sure Gagan isn't out there, neither is anyone else (least I'm pretty sure of) from this board that are out there knockin' out and gettin knocked out...

quick question, but Pride is much bigger than UFC right? So don't they also get paid much more? I'm just wondering why sombody like Crocop would go to UFC instead of staying in Pride

Yup they make like twice as much in Pride compared to UFC. Alot of the figthers come to UFC just to work on skills and others just wanna fight UFC fighters

Nope, the pay for either organization's top fighters are almost equal...Pride may pay a little bit more but the top guys in the UFC get a percentage of the pay per view buys. If the payscale in Pride was that much more, Cro Cop and Rampage would not have left. Rampage has repeatedly said that he was paid a lot more by the WFA than what he got in Pride. Cro Cop really has no equal in the UFC so why would he go there to fight, and for less money?

Why such hatred for the UFC and Chuck? Chuck's striking may not look impressive but name me one fighter with a better KO list than Chuck's? The only lhw I see having a chance against Chuck are Lil Nog and Shogun. Silva's aggressive style is tailored made for Chuck to khtfo.

i don't know if its alot more. it may be the attraction of fighting in the US. alot of why fighters are considering leaving Pride is there current "unstable" situation in japan. too long to go into here, but the organization is just not as stable as the UFC is right now. they may get there act together soon...but currently there are some questions about their organization.

generally, the Pride fighters are of better quaility, but the UFC is such a machine at promoting their fighters and ppv's and they dominate the American MMA scene. Mirko may be looking to "conquer" america, where he couldn't conquer Fedor. since he cant beat Fedor, why stay in japan???

quinten left for more money. his organization folded, and was bought by the UFC...is how he ended up there. he didnt sign with then originally, but as long as someone honors his contract...what does he care. i may be wrong, but i think quinten is the only fighter in the UFC to get a piece of the ppv's because of his contract with the WFA. tough to see dana white giving anyone a piece of the ppvs.

If there is a fighter out there that can beat Fedor, it's Cro Cop. I don't think Cro Cop left Pride because he was running from Fedor, rather the UFC is probably paying him a ton of money and is a lot more stable organization at the moment. Fedor was in a lot of trouble with Hunt, so he doesn't look as invicible as people make him out to be. Prior to this, I think Cro Cop gave Fedor one of his most difficult fights.

In the UFC I know that Chuck, Randy when he fought, and Tito Ortiz have gotten a percentage of the pay per view profits. In Chuck vs Randy 3, I think both fighters ended up with over $1 mil in cash with their percentage of the pay per view buys.

tito is a dumb ****. He should have known he couldn't stand with chuck. Only chance he had was to take it to the ground and grind him down. Standing with chuck right now is not smart.

Sounds to me like chuck was toying with him. Let him get up twice.

it was headline sports section news down where I was...los osos. Local boy done good kinda stuff. Chuck is a hero down there.

did you actualy see the Fedor vs. CroCop fight??? i'm NOT saying Cro Cop is running from Fedor...but that fight was not difficult for Fedor at all. it was actually bizarre to see Cro Cop being stalked and backing up when usually its the other way around. and mark hunt is no slouch... mark hunt is probably the most improved MMA fighter of the last 2 years considering he was strictly a kickboxer before entering MMA.

anyway, i look forward to seeing Mirko WALK THRU tim sylvia.
