Smile Tuning Concern Question

Hello folks, just had a quick question to ask..

I currently have a TBE, and short ram intake with a cobb stage 2 map, and wanted to get the UP, TMIC and turbo inlet hose installed, but I was just wondering if I need to be tuned to run the inlet hose?? I'm taking things in stages as I will be getting the turbo, injectors, pump, and supporting mods installed in the near future, and just wondering if I should wait to put in the inlet hose until the turbo install, or I would be okay with the OTS stage 2 map until that near future of getting my car tuned.. I just wanted to go down the path that's most reliable for my Subie , and wanted to make sure.. Thanks for your help!

Bottom line your money your choice... My opinion. Save all ur mods up and have someone put them all in, or you put them all in at once, and then take it for 1 big correct tune. Tuning and retuning every time something is put on is a lot of money. Get the motor running right with a good tune after everything is put in at once. Saves you money and you'll notice the largest difference (from where you are now, to the big tune at the end)

Stage two is really only for a TBE, give or take an uppipe too. Remember that with every mod you're going a step beyond what the map is designed for, even though those aren't huge mods. The instructions (at least when I was dealing with Cobb stuff) say specifically only to use the stock airbox anyways.

Why install a turbo inlet hose on a stock turbo?
Most of the non OE types cause vacuum leaks.

Agree with all above. I have intake up/dp/tbe/TI and a cobb stage 2 oTS and gar ran like poop. Now properly tuned for my mods and makes a world of difference. The intake was what threw my car off the most. Wait till all done then get tuned. Also easy to do inlet and turbo at the same time. Save labor effort.

Just wait until you have the fuel pump, injectors and VF22/34/39. I used to have a bugeye wrx and got a custom stage 2 tune. In retrospect I would have just jumped to the bigger turbo. More power and less tuning.
