I thought that Tanner was really boring. Adam was doing a better job. The celebrity interview was pretty fail though. I guess if you have a really old astronaut, there isn't really much you can do.
Overall, not very good. It could get better as the season progresses, but I'm not holding my breath.

This was pretty bad, as in not good. Did the producers of American Top Gear think they could be successful as the American version of the Office? It's the same exact show but with guys you don't really care about. Something about not having the british accents really makes it less cool. I'd rather watch Motor Week with this guy:

It's not the British accents, there just isn't any kind of witty humor that keeps it interesting. This just proves that is it worse to be boring than it is to crack jokes that no one gets.
they have no personality. when will people understand? top gear isn't directly about cars. it's about a culture. and because it's about a culture, they need people in the culture, vs people reviewing cars. motorweek has that covered.
Someone is going to go on there. the english topgear was CRAP at the start. they got rid of the fat guy, and let jeremy talk more about random stuff. AND ON THAT BOMB SHELL, all was well.
also... the american show needs better music, and less dead air.

The camera work could be better... The vibrations of the camera in the Viper was rather annoying.
And the Lamborghini part was OK. Shakey camera again needs to be fixed. Maybe add some music to their runs.
Also, The Stig should be listening to the music.
Lastly, the description of the Lamborghini Supperleggera's engine glass was weak. It was missing a funny metaphor or simile.
Not that great, but I hope the next episode is better.

Not really liking it so far after watching the first show. Hopefully it gets better, but I didn't find them to be all that funny nor that interesting. Tanner Foust seems to be the best host so far, but I would not mind seeing them switch to different hosts for the other two based on the episode from tonight.
maybe I just had lower expectations than you guys but i thought it wasn't awful, yes they seemed as if they were reading off a script but comfort will come with time. They haven't gotten to the point where they have the connection that hammond clarckson and may have (probably never will) but i still thought it was enjoyable has potential to get a lot better. Also im pretty sure that the original top gear producer is the one producing this as well.

To be honest, this show is just taking off, and I think we need to give it a little time. It was never going to be perfect the first time around, and I think as the show goes on, the quality will improve, just as the English Top Gear did.
That being said, the English Top Gear will always be the best, with Hamster, Captain Slow, and Clarkson (many nicknames)

No chemistry between the hosts made it kinda boring. I enjoyed the aviation components of the show - C130 flyover, Cobra gunship - more than their halfassed car stuff.
