Trunk Painted

Would it be easier/cheaper to get my WRX trunk painted with the wing on it? Or would it be cheaper to remove the wing and fill in the holes than paint it? Anyone know about how much it would cost? I went to someone by my house and he said to remove the WRX wing and fill the holes and paint it, it would cost aroudn 1000 bucks.... thought that was kinda high but I might be wrong...

i'm sure filling the holes will cost more... becuase thats an extra step that takes time.... welding and sanding.. etc.

$1000 is HELLA high!

weld sand holes 1 hour $50-$100 thats a simple job, fill the hole with weld its not that big of a deal.

paint $100-200?

labor 3 hours?

Seriously...$1000 is WAY to much. For a trunk I would guess under $500 easily. I'd just keep wrx wing on and repaint it, I wouldn't mess with welding holes in my trunk and stuff, good luck though.
