yeah, folks, it's true. i just got back fr: there w/ a n00b buddy o' mine. he got this season's board set-up for a hair over $500(palmer classic board, northwave freedom boots & drake mentor<i think> bindings).
it was sad to read the li'l note on the door. the owners are retiring after 30+ years and sold the land. the patio building is already gone & they are in the early stages of construction on that part of the lot. i'll be checking stuff out tomorrow b/c the deals are just too good to pass up on.

HOLY SMOKES!!!!! so bummed. I love that place. I talked to them about it...the owners son was working register.... aparently dad is old and doesn't feel like running it and the kids are too lazy to take it over so after 35 years they're cashing in on the land...as boardoholic said.
I was on my way back from snowboarding and said to myself...I need a new jacket so I stopped in last night. Had no idea what was going on. I got there and was like...dude...there is nowhere to park and lines are NUTS!!!!!!!
Needless to say I walked out with a dope pair of sessions pants and nice sessions hoodie warm weather boarding jacket..umm... oh arnett's....the nice one's... $100. and some vans fargo boots. Total price was right at $300!!!!!!!!!! I was stoked...and LUCKY because I had a year old $100 gift card in my car that would have gone to waste otherwise....!!!!!
There were probably 100 people in line when they closed. I'd say in the last hour they were open 50 board walked out the door. On top of just about everything else!!!!
I'm gonna try to squeeze back in and check out the golf clubs and see about getting another pair of sunglasses.
STOKED!!!!!
I'm bummed they're going though..sucks.
But shoot if I needed a board I would have picked one up myself...selection on boards and boots are still good. Bindings are getting thin...clothes if you weigh more than 165 pounds your screwed. I didn't see a single XL jacket that was any good.
They did have nice pants left though. I had 3 pairs in my hand and had to pick one. haaa.
If you go any later than sat. I'd say your screwed on anything but the the odd stuff. Golf. Fishing. Bikes....etc...

yap, i saw the their Out-of-Business TV ad today. That's too bad becuase they usually have the best prices, and their sale usually start much eariler than other shops. What's % discount should we expecting for ski/ snowboarding gears ?

Too bad I found out about this so late.
It's too bad they are going out of business. I remember going there when I was a kid. Got my first ski/snowboard equipment there.
