Transmission oil recomandation?

So in the process of changing out my clutch me and my friend kinda tilted the tranny on removal and most of the oil flowed out , so I decided why not just drain it all lol. I was lookin at 75w90NS Redline unless someone recommends something else.

i've heard redline is wayyyy over rated.

Lucas oil additives have cured many of my friends ****fting problems, even when gears wouldnt even engage. maybe they have straight oil too

I used generic, non synthetic StaLube in my old wrx 5MT and currently use Motul Gear 300 in my STi 6MT.

Extra S is made specifically for our transmissions. Try not using anything else in order to lengthen the life of your transmission.

Extra S and Motul Gear 300 are the two fluids most often recommended by reputable sources on NASIOC and IWSTI (not just every bozo who passes by).

I could post a bunch more, but those seem to be of the most value.

We've used Swepco for over 15 years myself and that is all we sell for "Performance" gear fluid. I get emails all the time when folks switch to Swepco about how it fixed there notchy grinds, etc...

if you want off the shelf stuff from a Napa or what not, use Valvoline...I have never had complaints from that either and this is what we use for our standard services....thousands of cars later and still no issues with either fluids.

I have it on the shelf by the gallon's or 16 gallon drums

*stay away from Redline for gear oil, its not friendly on the subie tranny (From our experiences).

My tranny has 179K miles on it. LIC put swepco in there and it made a world of difference. I won't use anything else.
