Transmission jack

Anyone have a transmission jack or floor jack attachment that I can borrow for a week or two? I'll compensate you if need be (definitely beer in it for you!)

I can def. loan you a solid jack but I have no tranny adaptor. However.. I work near you and have been literally under multiple STi and WRX trannys for removal/ replacement purposes and have survived. ;-) Lemme know if you need help - Dave

I have a good floor jack, I just want a transmission adapter to make my life easier. I may try the ATV jack, I need it to go pretty high as my car is about 1.5 feet off the ground due to the jack stands.

using the floor jack sucks. I've done it too many times and its never fun. OK if you have another person around otherwise its tough.

I was going to say if you were further north we have this "tool library" basically rents out tools for free for a few days for no moneys. but thats up in santa rosa :/

A slightly less ghetto option than using a floor jack is to put a platform on the floor jack. Most of them have a hole in the business end and with a bolt and piece of 1x6, you have a platform big enough to sort of balance the jack. This is not "safe" but it might be better than muscling it in. Maybe the Sub transmission is too big for this BS method, but it worked for my Civic.
