Trade in questions...
I'm pretty sure I'll be trading in my 03 Wagon for a new 06 one but have a few questions since I've never traded-in a vehicle before.
1st Question: I’m still paying off my 03 Wagon. I know the dealership can take care of that and transfer the balance over and work out the numbers - But I could pay it off before the trade-in. Are there any advantages of doing this?
2nd Question: I'm going to put the stockers back on. Will my current Rota SDR's fit on the 06?
3rd Question: Will my Prodive Springs, Cusco 22mm Rear (3-way Adjustable) sway bar and Kartboy solid drop links fit on the 06?
now...what color? hummmmmm....Blue or GCM!
Thanks for any input you can provide!!

If you can pay it off before trading it in, then do that and sell it privately. You will get more money for it if you do a private sale and that is just more money you can put towards the 06.

Bar and Drop Links : I think they will work, but not 100% sure.

- price of the new car

this is all ammo for them to get more $ out of you. to minimize that, you must reduce the number of variables that are responsible for the entire package price, obviously with "price of the new car" being the only variable you guys will talk about. in your current situation, you want to perform all of these tasks since you want to trade in your car along with having them transfer the balance over to a new loan. one of a few things can happen; if you try to negotiate a lower price for the new car, they'll just come back with a lower offer for your trade in. if they give you ok deals for the new car and trade in, then they'll bump up the apr on your new loan. with more variables, the dealer has a better chance of screwing you!
as they say, time is money. its so true in this case because you will save more money by selling private party and getting your own financing, but of course, that takes a lot more time than just trading it in.
