So glad to see them keep this in the bay area!
Now there's just the problem of selling $50K all electric sedans to the public. Oh, and it's not clear on what's going to happen with the unused portion of the factory as I doubt Tesla can even use half of NUMI's capacity.
Edit: It looks like Toyota might do a joint build with Tesla for a new car to compete with the Chevy Volt and Nissan Leaf (~$30K price range) with the remaining factory floor.

I couldn't say anything about it, but I asked Arnie about this last month when he came to our plant. But yeah, no way the politicians were gonna let that factory totally die during an election year.
