Toyota FT-86 leaked again… this time with a TRD Package | egmCarTech

We’re [not] sure why Toyota just doesn’t release official pictures and details of the production Toyota FT-86 – but until they day, we can keep relying on the internet to show us leaked brochure images.

Following two previous leaks (here and here), we now have leaked brochure images of the Toyota FT-86 with a TRD package.

Click here more news on the Toyota FT-86.

According to leaked training documents, the production FT-86 will be powered by a 2.0 liter flat 4-cylinder making 197-hp with a maximum torque of 150 lb-ft. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and an optional 6-speed automatic.

Stay tuned for more details, leaks and official info coming soon. The official world debut of the production FT-86 is scheduled for the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show.

Since it is an n/a, would those HP/TQ figures be on 87 octane? I wonder what it'd put out if it was tuned for 91, or even 100 for the track

I'll be curious to see sti specs, and if any power difference is just a matter of tuning or what. Going to be an exciting month.

I'm assuming LA will only have BRZ STi, but maybe a regular one too????

it almost looks like this to me;
brz sti concept-la
brz production, fr-s production, regular models, tokyo dec.

with 12.5/1 compression ratio im certain it will require 91oct at the very least.

Subaru BRZ: The Real Deal
I was trying to figure out if the production ones being at tokyo was indeed right, or if LA would really be same things on display?

Maybe, but with direct injection it's possible to run a lower octane with higher compressions. The engine in the new Focus and Mazda's new SKYACTIV-G engine in the Mazda3 both have direct injection, run 12:1 compression and use 87 octane.
