Tour de Cure

Hello BAIC,
Im always on here, lurking, and posting occasionally- but I know everybody on here is very supportive, so...
On May 3rd I, along with a few friends, will be riding in the 'Tour de Cure', a ride organized to support the American Diabetes Association. Leading up to that I have been, and will continue to train for ride the 50 mile segment of the ride that will take place in and around Napa.
Each rider needs to raise $200 in donations to ride. Whatever the difference is I will make up, but it would be awesome to be able to donate more than the required amount, since it is going to a great cause.
I know how diabetes affects those that have the disease as well as their family members since I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when I was 11 years old. It would be awesome to have your support, whether that comes in the form of your thoughts, or a dollar or two that you have to spare.

Check out the Tour de Cure Website
http://www.diabetes.org/tour
And my specific Tour page
http://main.diabetes.org/goto/denglish

Thanks for your support!

And how about a pic for some more interesting post content

I may be participating in this as well. I need to start training though... haha.

Same as above... are you really going to ride fixed? I'm going to use my Kestrel 200sci.

im still deciding on whether im going to ride fixed or not, i just picked up a 1990 Cannondale Campagnolo Athena road bike, which I'll probably ride. It would be fun to ride the fixed gear, but 50 miles is quite a distance

Donations can be made through each of the links that I posted. Just hit the donations tab, select CA, then the Napa ride and you can search for riders. Dustin English is my name if you would like to sponsor me.

I'd love to see some other i-clubbers out there too!!
