If a person were to download torrents.. what site would he use and what gateway to download through.. (Im wrighting a report) lol **comment for legal purposes**

It all depends on the type of data said person would want to download. There are legal torrent sites, those which may infringe on legality which are public (pirate bay, mininova, etc), and the private sites (the best ones around).

There are also other ways of getting data which don't include torrents...

The only problem with your friend downloading such software is that there may be trojans or viruses embedded into them. I remember reading about a version of PS for OSX which had a trojan that came with it (SURPRISE!). Just make sure your friend has very good protection or chooses to use the open source stuff instead (GIMP, Blender, Cinelerra, VirtualDub, etc).

hes downloading on a pc to put on a disk then install with mac from disk so he can scan the complete disk before install
