Tokyo Time Lapse Night Drive

Just a cool little video I came across: a night drive in the Tokyo metropolitan area in an Alfa Romeo Spider (939 model), before the 3/11 earthquake.
It really is amazing to see how well-developed the infrastructure is as well as how busy the city is; I've never felt more sensory overload (or insignificance of myself for that matter haha) than when I was in Tokyo -- not even NYC or HK come close to how massive and dense everything is there. Although, I hear that things have quieted down some post-quake, even though Tokyo wasn't that directly affected.

Anyway, enjoy the video!

I recommend watching full screen in 1080p HD for the full effect.

I was there in January and Tokyo had seemed pretty much back to normal.

I was there last year about 4 weeks after the earthquake and it was totally different, very quiet and not the same.

Tokyo is the brightest city at night I've ever been to in my entire life haha. I remember some streets were so well-lit that night felt like day.

... Not to mention that the address system makes ABSOLUTELY no sense in Tokyo.
