Today has been too eventful already...
... I just want to get home safely and curl up with a beer.
So, all I needed to do was get my car to AHQ for its 75,000 service. I managed to mess up the timing with a meeting at work, but no big deal.
Driving up to RC, there is a huge bang and a stone puts a big starburst into the passenger side of the windshield. Hopefully I can get this repaired, ortherwise I'll be onto windshield #4.
Kevin, Eric and Lawrence are helpful and efficient as always
- best bit of the day by far.
Driving back to work, I pull into the parking lot and there is a pop as a nail goes through my driver's side rear tire. I had the space saver on before it had even gone flat. What pisses me off is that this is the 5th flat on my car in less than 5 years ownership. I also got a flat on my motorcycle two years ago as well. Luckily it is smack in the center of the tread, so it looks like it should be repairable.
Anyway, I feel if I make it home alive tonight, I'll be doing well. Just felt I had to vent.

Ouch. As for the window it should be repairable as its not on the driver's side. Watch out for psycho SUVs on your drive home. With your present luck I would advise agaisnt stoping at any (indian) casinos.

sorry to hear about your crappy luck lately Lorry, If it makes you feel any better, I have a big azz screw......looks like a Lag Bolt actually stuck in my left rear tire, but its still holding air so I havent messed with it yet.
And it seems as though your GF doesnt think that Beer or Vodka are the way to melt your frustrations away.....infact:
I think she is implying that instead of drinking it all away, you should just have LOTSA SEX with her!

So... I went to America's Tire where I usually get my flats fixed. The guy punched my info into the computer and said that, even if they couldn't fix it, I have the replacement warranty on this set of tires. I don't normally buy extra warranties, but I guess when I bought the tires, I knew it would be tempting fate not to.
Anyway, the tire fixed up ok though so all is well
- apart from the windshield which I'll check into next week.
