Yeah man! We swap engines, build engines, anything engines.

We do everything except paint and body and alignment (just because we haven't put down the cash to buy a nice alignment machine yet).

For paint and body, we work with Bryan, aka Ballz, at Yeaman Auto Body in Palo Alto. He has done a lot of great work for i-club members.

For alignment, we have a go-to guy who is really good (but who also often has a booked schedule one to two weeks out).

For detailing and cleaning, we work with Leo from DetailAddict.

For paintless dent removal, we use DentFree (who has done a lot with local Audi clubs in case you have not heard of him).

For machine shop, we use Lynn Auto Machine in Redwood City. These guys are fast, good price and very good work.

For welding (because we end up making a lot of custom stuff), we use a very experienced (greater than 20 years professionally owning his own shop) guy right down the street from us, who also does really good work.

As for engines, we swap them; we build them. We don't have equipment to press in sleeves. For a customer looking for thicker (Darton) sleeves, we have a very professional and experienced place we use to buy sleeved blocks.

All the places and people we use guarantee the high quality of their work, materials, etc and consistently produce great results. And we do out-source our welding, sleeving, and alignment because we are small shop and have not yet had the resources to get our own equipment; plus the people we use are really outstanding.

So, basically, someone can drop off their car with us and get anything taken care of through us, or we can refer them to deal directly (for instance with Ballz or DetailAddict) with the guys we recommend.

Back to engines, we have...1, 2, 3 confirmed EJ25 blocks to assemble with aftermarket internals and 1 or 2 customers who are waiting to get funds for their swap or build, and 2 potentials customers we are talking to now to rebuild their engines. So, short story, we always have engines around the shop and we are almost always involved in projects including engine swaps or builds.

Hope this tells you more about us.

Thanks,

Brandon

it's on the east side of broadway, almost to douglas if you are going south.

So from 101:
take woodside road west
to broadway south
pass charter
turn left into autohq at 650 broadway
right before douglas

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...,0.026608&z=15

autohq is at the back of the lot there, on the left. Look for all the subarus

AHQ did the exact same service (minus new axle) for my 02 wrx two years ago and car has continued to run great. They've also installed SS brake lines, and when I was driving on 101 and notice a LOT of steam coming from my hood I drove straight to the shop and they replaced a busted radiator hose on the spot.

Friendly, honest, thorough, and very knowledgable. They've been the only shop I've taken my WRX to for the past 5 years (except Carlsen for A/C work).

New website looks great guys!

Thanks for offer, but I can't make it this Sunday. I'm helping my friend with their couple's wedding shower Sunday. I can't complain too much since he's promised me there will be plenty of beer and food. Plus, the front of my car looks like it has been sandblasted after several seasons of driving up to Tahoe during the winter... it's a well loved but well used car! Been meaning to get a couple dents pulled and re-paint too.

Have a great time Sunday!
