Just a small piece of round titanium welded onto a flat ti flange, how much would your buddies charge? I mean I've welded before, I just don't want to waste money on scrap Ti to practice on and i also don't have a tig welder or rods to weld with lol.

Titanium is tricky, you really need to know what grade of titanium it is to even select the correct filler rod. There are more commonly used grades typically but it would be nice to know so the proper filler can be purchased. And the filler is soo pricey that they even sell it in very small ammounts on eBay. Have you priced the filler at all? And what service do you need ti for?
