I'm very happy with my Bridgestone RE050A Pole Positions - they were steady in the heavy rain last weekend, too - no hydroplane feel. Quiet, grippy on the corners -- they're rated highest for our size on Tirerack. $125 when I got them at Tire Rack a few months ago.

Kyle,
You're getting the exact same size I just got for the RS-2's. Go check out Edge Racing. I got them for $400 shipped. Can't really give you a review yet as I only have about 200 miles on them and 1 auto-x.

I just got a set of falkins 452 at Big O for under 500 mounted and all. And they were 17s tires. They are very nice tires in the wets and dry.
I heard the RS2s are pretty good in the wets and drys too.
From my expereince you really have to shop around call all the shops and get quotes. It was suprising to me when I was shopping for tires that all shops even thou they are the same company charges different prices for tires. I say call around and get quotes form 10 to 20 shops. They do vary in price tremendously. You can try AI in milpitas first. They have great price on tires if they have them in stock.

America's Tire Co price matches basically anything... no price is set in stone at America's Tire Co. It's up to whomever is helping you, they'll give you the price.
oh, and remember, if you buy tires online, MOST (not all) of the time, you get raped in mounting/balancing because tire companies want you to buy the tires through them.

I'm going with either the MX or the 615's. I've heard nothing but good things about both, but I think the 615's are the more aggressive harsh of the two
Anyone with real experience with these two?

But wheel works told me theyd match any online price plus $15 to make up for shipping so i might go that route since it will only be $13 a tire for mt/bal.
Im thinking about going from 225 50 16 to a 225 45 16 the smaller sidewall saves a whole 2 lbs but im afraid of the huge wheel well ricer gap that might come up...and i dont want my car to look like that...

ok so will a 45-16 make me look too street racer-ish (with a bigger wheel gap)
my car is lowered, but still. I will save 2 lbs just by going 50 profile to 45
thanks
