Tips for the general public
•When you leave your employer a message that you hurt yourself and aren't coming in today, you should probably answer the phone when they call you back, as they may curious as to whether or not you're coming in tomorrow.
•When you own a business and wish to keep it open 7 days a week, you should hire more than two employees and a manager that thinks she's too good to work with customers. Why? See bulletin #1.
•When you are trying to parallel park, please remember the following.
A) If someone see's you pull out but didn't see you pull in, they might take that to mean you're leaving the spot.
B) Waving your arms and honking the horn is not the most efficient way to say "Excuse me sir, I was trying to park there. Do you mind backing out?"
C) While they may get the gist of your communication efforts, there is not much they can do when you're stopped in the lane ahead of them, and there is a line of cars in the lane behind them.
D) When you're the daughter-in-law of a woman who items A-C pertain to, running across the street yelling "Oh no buddy, you'd better not park there!!!!" is, once again, not the best way to get your message across. I will not react kindly.
E) There are no "dibs" in the game that is city parking. If my car is within the space legally, I'm perfectly fine shutting off my engine and carrying out my errands if you're going to stick your head in my window and yell at me.
•When asking for driving directions to a location in a city you are not familiar with, STOP ****ING DRIVING! I'm not your GPS system, I do not know what direction you are pointed, NPR do I know how far you've traveled in the time it took you to comprehend "At the intersection, street X changes to street Y."

The issue would be Car A is stopped waiting for the person in the spot to back out. The person in the parking spot backs out to leave the spot. Being polite the person in Car A waits for the person to have fully backed out and vacated the spot prior to parking in the spot. Car B comes along and sees a space opening and sees Car A waiting for the spot. While the person in the spot is backing out they may be blocking Car A from taking the spot until they have completely moved. This could be advantageous to Car B as they are able to effectively "steal" the spot from Car A.
Now while Car B may be parked legally within the spot, that doesn't mean they should have taken that spot especially while Car A was waiting for that particular spot. People that do this garbage have every right to have the person from Car A stick their head in their window and yell at them as what they did is completely rude.
If you see someone waiting for a spot, then assume that spot is filled and move along to an open spot.

i've never had a spot stolen from me before, just signal. I have however had couple of friends that stood in a empty spot waiting for me to bust around to take it when another car tries to run over my friends to park in that spot though, the situation quickly escalated, almost to the point of a fist fight when i arrived. After much cursing, i left the lot yelling that he better watch his car. He proceeded to call parking security, whom told him to move the car somewhere else if he felt his car was in danger, which he reluctantly did. I lol'd at the whole exchange from a restaurant across the street.

While I agree with most of the others. This one could have a problem.

You may want to check with some other members on here and find out what they would do if someone stuck their head in a window and started yelling. Maybe Overbear will chime in, he always has good ideas!
That being said, I believe in being nice to others and not stealing their spot. However, before you go yelling at car B for "stealing" your spot, remember that just because YOU knew you were waiting for it doesn't mean they knew you were waiting for it.

Last night actually I was talking to this girl after I picked her up from work about how I'm surprised I always get out of the lot unhit. She said they've had no accidents so far (in one of the worst lots in town) but they have had a fight.
Same Car A/Car B scenario as posted before
Car A driver pulls Car B driver out of car, starts beating him. Car B passenger gets out and starts beating Car A driver. Cops come and none of the three ever make it into Trader Joe's.

Sticking your head in someones car and yelling at them is one of the dumbest things you can do. Vast majority of the time it'll not get you your parking space, and can lead to violence as you are invading their personal space and showing hostility. Had the younger lady not come to her senses and explained the situation, I would have turned off my engine and continued on my way.

I'm not telling people that they should do that. I am just saying that I have seen it happen and it never surprises me when it does.
