Why on earth would you want to REDUCE tail light visibility?
Unless you just want some red to cover up the ugly clear bits on the rear brake lights

My tails are tinted. I like the look. When I had a gsx, escape, and a bagged ranger I tinted all of their taillights to. It looks nice.

+1 for the red. My neighbor across the street did it and it looks great.
Please, for the love of God, don't tint them dark. Unless you feel like being rear ended by the soccer mom with astigmatism in her GMC Suburban
Seriously, even a young buck like me sometimes has visibility issues with tinted tails when the sun's in my face
As for tint shops, not too many reputable places up here in the City. I had my dad's Accord's windows done at Bay Car Stereo on Geary, and it was a pretty good job, but damn are those guys over there thieves.
A lot of BAIC'ers used to recommend Vince at Omega Tintwerks in Pleasanton, but I dunno if he's still good or even still around... plus it's a helluva drive
OR you can have Krinkov do it! He's here in the Citay!

yeah theres 2 shades of smoked film, light and dark, I only stock and install the light smoked, its about the same look as the old factory mercedes smoked tails, I dont even want to get into the dark stuff, def not safe

light smoke, okay

I prefer red though,
