Time Attack at Buttonwillow 4/6
I don't have all the info, just a lil even though I was there, more physically than mentally. As I only had a 2hrs of sleep before we left and another 2hrs while driving there. Alex didn't finish his car as his eyes eventually gave up on him for being up for 2-3 days in a row and the evo8 had a clutch problem.
So long story short, Tarzan driving the Signal R33(650whp) posted the fastest lap with just 4 hot laps of 1:54 around the track. Will post pics soon. A lot of good cars out there doing their stuff, regardless of the car type. And only one car caught on fire and no accidents. Although, a few cars were doing some off road driving from under or over steer problems..

The WorldOne STi that I was driving finished 2nd in the Limited AWD class and 6th overall with a lap time of 2:00.41. The Sparco Evo that beat us in class turned a 1:58 I believe. However, the Sparco car was a built time attack car, with springs that seemed as stiff as my race car and great big fresh 245 wide Hoosier R3S04 tires. The WorldOne car is a daily driven street car and has a Tein Flex suspension with 250lb/in springs, stock swaybars, no cage and used 1 1/2 year old used Hoosier 225 wide R3S03 tires on it.
The car had awesome power and delivered it all day long. It's the first STi I've driven in anger and it was a lot of fun driving the car out of the corners with power on oversteer for a change. With a dedicated track suspension and some decent tires I think the WorldOne car would have taken the class win. Considering this is set up as a comfortable street car, it did amazingly well. Wait until you see the list of cars it finished ahead of!

Hey Gary, you guys did very good out there. Looks like the car ran good lap times and didn't have any breakdowns in any point. Noticed that you took the wing off on one of the sessions. I like the fact that you ran w/o a cage, stock swaybars, soft springs, and used hoosiers. That should give people hope on running a good laptime there if the car has some good hp.
