Ticket help please!

Got a ticket on my way home from work this morning.

3 correctable infractions: Modified exhaust, tinted windows and "dl change ca address"

The change address is just telling me to get a ca license since I gave him my ny one and still have ny plates on my car. I already have that taken care of though.

For the tint and exhaust, I guess I need someone to sign off on the back of the ticket saying I got it taken care of? So basically if you have a badge or know someone with one, shoot me a pm and help me get this all sorted out? It would be super appreciated. Thanks!

Probably not going to work here on the forums, gotta talk to people in person.

Ibtl? I'm not asking for anything illegal. I should be able to fix it myself and just have a cop sign off on it, correct?

Anyone have any idea what a tint or exhaust fine would amount to otherwise?

Any idea who I could talk to? Pm me please. I really don't know how all this crap works in CA and the ticket isn't very informative.

A lot of money. Unnecessary really. Just change the exhaust to a quieter or stock and remove front window tint, then get it signed off. OOOR if you don't wanna get rid of the tint or pay to get it tinted again, you can go to extremes and get someone with untinted windows to just switch them for a day and get it signed off. That's what my friend did with my brother's Civic Hybrid and his Si. =D

And to get it signed off, just change whatever needs to be changed and pull a cop over. or go to a local starbucks, they are usually there. They are pretty cool about it too. I've had 2 signed off already and they didn't mind me waving them down at all.

Disclaimer: Depending on your location and the fit of the parts...

I am in Sacramento and mid swap on an RSTi... The stock cat back is sitting waiting to be used, and depending on color/fit I also have the doors off the 04 STi donor car (silver). Now do note they have slight tint on them, BUT you are welcome to peel it and use them long enough to pass leaving your doors here and return to swap... Hassle yes, but just shooting an option...

not subscribing, so PM/email me and let me know if you want...

you will get the reminder with all the fees in the mail. It will tell you how much if its corrected and how much without correction, 25$ minimum per infraction. The exhaust ticket might require more than just a sign off if you got refed

For tint if you look on it, it will say remove and pay 10 dollars or pay 125 and keep the tint.

Also just go to your local chp station to get it signed off. A lot of local departments require you to pay a fee to get things signed off.

What does it mean to get refd and how do I know if that's the case? As for the exhaust, the ticket itself just says "modified exhaust". He didn't look under the car or anything though. I have headers, catless up and 3" catless turbo back. If I swap back to a stock catback, first off will the car even run right, and secondly will it pass whatever inspection I need to get it signed off legitimately?

This is a ton of fail.

if it just says exhaust up didn't get refed. If it says emissions then you got refed, correct me if I'm wrong someone. If you just got the exhaust infraction you can probably just switch out the axel back with a stock one and you should keep it that way to avoid more headaches.

If that's the case I should just put the whole thing back to stock and sell the piece of ****. Already crippled on 91 octane and with a stock exhaust I don't even see it breaking 300 wheel. If that's the case what's the point? This is just stupid. I didn't think it would be this big of an issue.
