Ticket

So got shot by LIDAR last night and v1 didnt go off with enough time to save me. 80 in a 65....

Question is the ticket says not correctable but the officer said i should be able to go to traffic school.

Whats the deal with this?

Thanks!

I believe you will be allowed to go to traffic school as long as you have not been to traffic school in the last 18 months and are not exceeding the speed limit by more than 15 mph.

^^ Yep, it will make it not appear on your record. Avoiding any insurance increases and points on your license.

Usually a correctable ticket just means a fix it ticket, since you were speeding its not "correctable" but if you can take traffic school then it shouldn't show on your record.

+1

However, this does NOT make the ticket disappear from your record. It does drop the point from your record so your insurance doesn't go up and all of the other things that go with having a point on record.

I had a chp do the same thing for me, and when I asked him about it, he said that was for fix-it tickets and not correctable.

Fix it tickets are, "Correctable" anyways you have to sign a, "Ticket" for a promise to appear. If you think you can fight the ticket then go to court, "Pray the LEO does not show up" if he/she does then its time to plead your case b4 a judge. You should be able to do traffic school and get the point taken care of. If you want PM me i can discuss further (in detail how it will go down).
