Thunderhill 5/27/14

Anyone going to thunderhill tomorrow? Our boss is closing the shop tomorrow and we are taking out the lotus to the track for some fun. My first time at that track, think we are running counterclockwise, any tips or advise for this track?

Well, no one posted, but I hope you had fun. A Lotus is a fast car for that track.

I sure did! This track was actually pretty technical. I did really well, except that I spun out my last session, which is no problem since there really isn't anything to hit.

That's why I after having driven THill twice, and Buttonwillow once, I still refuse to drive Laguna. Too many walls to drive my daily driver out there.

THill is awesome. I had more fun at Buttonwillow, but that's just me. I love the Essess on the backside at Buttonwillow.

My order of bay area favorite tracks:

1 Sonoma - lots of linked corners and hills. Awesome track. Warning: zero run off in some turns
2 Thunder Hill - lots of turns and great for beginners, comfy facilities for track days
3 Laguna Seca - cool because it's famous, but after you've done the corkscrew a few times it's just a good track.

I will be going to Buttonwillow next month, so we'll see how that goes. My co-worker told me that they are repaving the track or some turns, so that should be fun. The addition to thunderhill will also be done mid june so I definitely want to go back.
