Thinking of heading back...

So I have this R32 and have been thinking of getting back to the Suby world. Gonna check out a couple dealerships this weekend looking for a used STi hoping to get as close to a straight across trade as possible. Already checked Carlsen and they don't have any. Anyone seen any STi's for sale at dealerships that don't suckl? Prolly looking at an '05 or so.. Silver would rock.

Why the change of heart? R32's are nice sporty comfortable rides with a nice interior quality!

Just curious!

Yeah, it's an awesome car for sure. One of the biggest things I would miss is the sound of the exhaust.. Long story. Could go either way, just found out an '05 or '06 STi would be $5 cheaper on my insurance, and I always stayed away because I thought it would be way more. Guess it's just the WRXs or something.

bah....I say if you're gonna trade it in get a limited. You'll get to keep some of those creature comforts from the VW and the lower profile more tasteful styling.

If it were me I'd sell the VW and go buy a limited.....R32's resale value is killer....trade in at a non VW dealership will probably be closer to book....which is not what they sell for.

I think Capitol Mistubishi in San Jose has a couple, but i'm not 100% sure. Would be worth looking into. They almost always have some used subarus on their lot.

Yup.. 2001 RS Coupe is what I was driving then. I traded that on the R32. Before that I had an '03 WRX and a '95 Impreza L coupe.

The difference is huge, but your car with the flywheel and such - when it had an intake and header-back exhaust, it was wicked fun in comparison to the different fun my '03 WRX was. Lightning quick downshifts, power NOW and much less weight/better handling. To me - much more fun on tight turns where big power isn't really useful and turbo lag pees in your porridge.

I'd love to find a high-miles '05 that I could mash on though.
