Wow this thread went sour fast.

When my car fogs up, I just drive with my head out the window.

No not like a dog, that's just plain silly. Like Ace Ventura

And you must also use your e-brake to park

The defroster is more effective with the ac on. Lots of cars do this now.

You can cut the wire. Or you could just push that little button that says AC on it when you turn the defrost on.

ok i didn't know the ac comes on when I turn my control dial to the front windshield defroster mode. no wonder the idle changes a bit and the motor makes these wierd noises when its on.

It's been a long time since I have seen a car that didn't turn on the A/C when you select the defroster. This is because... A/C de-humidifies the air and defrosts nearly instantly. So that's sorta like turning on your radio and being pissed when you hear music.

Humans adapt, cars don't. Learn to use your car.

Don't worry about the petty name calling, this is the internet after all and the trolls will always be here (even with valid user IDs). Take it as seriously as you want.

every new car I have been in uses the AC with defrost now. I do eventually plan on installing the switch, but I dont want it to be ghetto.
