Thanx Richmond Superior Court!!
So I mentioned this a couple times but a couple months ago I got a ticket for tinted windows, no front plates, and smog control device (BOV and Accessport).
When I got the ticket in the mail, I only had fixits for the tint and plates and I didn't have to go to the state ref, but that $hit was $523 (probably from the smog business).
Anyways I went to court and saw the judge. I showed the sheriff what I got signed off and the judge adjusted my fine to only $65.00!!!!!!!
It was a long *** process but all worth it in the end!!!!

Teh Fines
Hey there,
Umm Im just a little bit confused about why you are thanking the courthouse? You still had to pay a $65 fine and had to take the time to show up in person. Is it because you didnt get everything signed off before the due date? I was in your shoes recently, as last month I had to get 2 fix-it tickets signed off... (no front plate and broken left front headlamp) but I only had to a pay $10 fine. I simply mailed my proof of corrections + $10 to the "Kern County Superior Court"

Hell yeah! That happened to me too when I got some fix it tix... My fine went from like $380 to $50 or something in that ballpark... I was so happy! When I saw that they wanted almost $400 for exhaust and clear corner lights, I nearly shat myself.

Seeing the judge will almost always reduce a fine unless it's over 100 mph speeding then they can actually charge you for wreckless driving on top of speeding

and btw in 2009 fix-it's will be 25 instead of 10, and traffic school 49 instead of 25, estimated 280 million in increased profit

yesterday i went to court for 2 state refs, no front plates, failure to comply, no insurance paper work, and i only ended up paying 60 dollars for everything. all the violations were dismissed because i had all the paper work. the 2 state ref was 600 each and the failure to comply was a good 900 dolllars...

even if you do drive with it plugged in, there is no reason to assume that it is changing emissions in any way. You could be running a married stock mode map
Congrats on your success!!

all you do with your accessport is flash your current ecu with a stage 1,2 or protune it. once its done flashing remove and let it sit in a very dark area for months to come. and you can drive on the new map.

Driveway, wtf?!
If I feel like I'm in danger of being pulled over/it actually happens...I switch the AP over to monitoring fuel economy. "Yes officer, I use this device to drive efficiently & save fuel".

^^^ He was a motorcycle cop, his whole job is to go around and give a bunch of tickets. He probably dealt with a few subies before cuz the first thing he asked me was what was plugged in under my steering wheel. I was surprised he saw it cuz the wires tucked in behind the panels n stuff.
