Thanks to all who helped us in SCC's USCC
In the December (2004) and January (2005) Issues of Sport Compact Car Magazine the X-Wing was one of the Top 10 Supercars in the Ultimate Street Car Challenge. We would like to thank SCC for their invitation to participate, their overall hospitality through out the competition, and to the rest of the competitors for a fun filled two-day car bonanza.
We would also like to thank everyone who helped get the X-wing to where it is today. Thanks, we could not have done it with out you!
- Chris Escamilla for all the time, money, organization, and hands on work he put into getting the car running well.
- Bill Knose for allowing us to transform his pride and joy (99 RS) and for spending countless hours of tuning to nail down possibly the most drivable map in existence and it showed with a 1st place in the Drivability competition.
- Adam Levy for not only wiring the JDM/WRX harness but also wiring the 1st AVCS wiring conversion into an Impreza RS.
- Quirt Crawford for the creation of the 1st 2.6 L Crawford Performance STi engine which helped earn 2nd place in the drag competition.
- Dan at Prodrive for hooking us up with a new set of Prodrive Alcon rotors which certainly helped us finish 2nd in the braking competition.
- JT at RPS for coming in at the last second and hooking us up with Max series clutch package that held more than 400 ft/lbs of torque yet kept the car feeling like stock, which helped earn a 2nd place in the Grandma competition.
- Andy Chu, while at I-Speed USA from 2001 through 2004, helped on the install of numerous parts on the X-Wing over the years, from turbo kits, to suspension, to the final setup it is today.
- Jeff Choe of Automobile Collision Center (Hayward, CA) with the new paint on the bumpers, lip and fog covers.
- Guy Spangenburg, for spending a whole day with I-Speed taking photos of the X-Wing.
Again thanks to everyone who helped make this car what it was for the Ultimate Street Car and what it still is today…a truly reliable and powerful street car.
Regards and Happy Thanksgiving,
The entire I-Speed USA Team

12.8 in 105 degree weather and only a 1.8 60ft. probably should have gone to the track again and tried to lower it to a 12.6 or low 12.7. oh well.
