thank you SubyDude!

i'm originally from SoCal but my girl lives in Lafayette. i was visiting her for the long holiday weekend and i had plans to meet with a local STI owner. that morning on my way to meet up with him i noticed that my left front rim had cracks on 3(out of 6) spokes, that went all the way thru. while driving it made a noticeable wopping/squeeking sound. so i continued to drive on it to meet up with STIDevilDog. so long story short, i needed to fix this problem quick because i had to drive back home sunday night. so we tried calling Gruppe-s but no answer & we actually drove to MPJ performance but the sales guys weren't there and the guys that were there couldn't help =(. too bad cause i really wanted some volks or something. anyways, i called up SubyDude and i was in luck! they were there and i was able to pick up a set of Rota G-Forces in Gun metallic. just wanted to give SubyDude a big thanks for everything.

*i would also like to thank STIDevilDog for running around with me and offering his help.

they were Gram Lights 57s (17 X 8.5 +50). i took care of these rims..or tired to atleast since they were my favorite. i never hit any major bumps or potholes. they are powder coated flatblack and i am beginning to believe that the coating process had weaken the rims. i do drive aggressive on them when i hit up the local canyons but this time it cracked on me while driving up to the Bay from So.Cal.

Did you have the Cast aluminum version of the gram lights, or the Forged version?

Also where did you get your powdercoating done from?
I'm thinking of powdercoating soon, so I'm just trying to do a lil research.

^ Cast Alum. i got the coating done here in So.CaL i forget the name and didn't even question the process. i was clueless to how P/C weakens rims. i wouldn't coat them if i were u. i'd look into painting them.
