You are all welcome. But we do it so others don't have too and I will be doing it again in May when I deploy to Afghanistan... I love being a Marine and it does suck to leave my kid's but I do it so they are safe and for the all in this country!!! Semper Fi

I met a D-day vet...he wouldn't talk about it. I also use to hang out with a radioman from a TBD that was at Midway, he remembered their torpedo run on yamaoto's flagship, even talked about being out of ammo and using his service revolver to shoot at the ship as they went over the top.

powerful stuff, I try to sit and talk with any vet I can. One learns from the people who were there better than any history book.
