I love PZero Nero M+S, but I only have a few tires that I've driven on daily to compare them to. A guy I met with a STi says he'll never put anything on but BFG KDW2s on his car for daily driving.
I can tell you what to stay away from: Bridgestone Potenza RE960 Pole Positions. Ugh... I made the mistake of not ordering my PZeros before I had to come back down south, so I put these RE960s on. Man, they're utter trash.

I was just down there, they couldn't fit me in Sat It will be a month before I go down and I am about to blow a tire. The 070's are coming off after Sunday's drags.

ziex suck ***** imo
Id go with the Kuhmo ASX, I run that tire in the winter
Since its an all season, you really dont want to go 255/40, and I think on the STi you will need to run a lot of camber in the rear or pull the fenders slightly
The proxys 4 are ok, but not as good in the snow/rain as the kuhmos. They are like $100 each on tirerack, take that price to America's tire and have them price match

Whatever you do, stay away from Les Schwab...

That being said, we had those XI 326's on our SVX for a while and they were ok for the most part... except for a leaky valve stem and that they had to go back to be balanced every couple of weeks, but maybe that was because those monkeys at Les Schwab didn't know what they were doing.
You can still get a better tire for less money elsewhere.

Thanks for the help everyone. Obviously I am a tire noob.
I went with the Toyo Proxes T1R in 235/45R17.
Les went down from $791 to $700 otd with tire warranty package (which is prolly bs).
I went with Les because they are every where around here and whenever I have an issue they fix it.
One of my racing buddies is the manager so he works on my car and doesn't mess it up.
I will put them on Monday after the drags. My 070's are slicks now so they will work well for the drags this weekend.
Thanks again guys.

for me, as long as the tire is japanese brand and made in japan (this is important for me), i will 100% buy it. of course after certain research on how good they are.
just me though.
