it is just going to keep the heat from emitting much and mostly in the pipe.
Maybe would keep the EGTs lower?

Moike? Ed? Adam? any tech people that could vouch for this?
Jet coating will keep under hood temps down while at the same time letting the header retain more heat within. So a non coated header will flow less because its losing more heat. Also depends if the header was coated inside/outside or inside only.

Would it really make a difference though, because i already have them on. And if i were to get them coated, i was told by mike at gruppe-s to coat the outside only. He said wrapping sucks, he should me a video on wrappying headers, and its not a pretty site.

Coating the headers helps them retain heat. The main difference will be in spoolup. If the header loses too much heat, you'll experience more lag until it heats up again.

Dont know yet, still waiting for my next paycheck. How much is a reflash? And uh if i get a reflash with the headers, will i experience less lag. When i say less lag, i mean like when i just had the TBE on.

Oh i scored on a TurboXS stealthback w/ racepipe, with a scoobysport muffler that i had to fix at my friends muffler shop. Really Really cheap price too.

I would give Gruppe-S a call or PM them, it cost me $700 for my WRX.

Right now your car is not tuned for a high flowing exhaust so you might detonate a bit, with my 04 WRX I had detonation problems (sounds like gravel going through your exhaust) then once I got tuned it went away. The STi has its obvious differences from the WRX though and I am sure the ECU configuration is different.

What you may even want to do is see if an 04 ECU will work with your car( https://www.i-club.com/forums/norcal-classifieds-96/us-sti-ecu-102748/ ) and if it does, keep your stock ECU and install the other one and have a reflash put down on that.
That way if you ever have to take it in to the dealership its easier to get back to stock.
I would have done it if I could.

You will deffinately experience less lag overall with a good tune. You can check out http://EQTuning.com/ for pricing. Also, please feel free to PM or e-mail me if you have any questions.

Thanks
