So after living here in California for over a year I finally got off my lazy *** and took the short 5 hour drive from Monterey to Tahoe. I had a blast, even though the traffic going out there on Friday was pretty crappy. Anyways, I stayed at the Travelodge near the statelinein South Tahoe. It was rather affordable ($49 holidays, $39 regular) and really close to the Casino's
There was another WRB WRX at the same hotel, '03, no wing, pink I-Club front emblem, and 5Zigen MK6's. That anyones rex that reads these forums? Anyhow If anyone saw an '04 WRB WRX in the South Tahoe area with Texas plates, that was me.
I had an absolute blast at Kirkwood, and the only thing that came close to boarding there was the drive. The 88/89 are a blast to drive, and there are enough passing zones to get around the slow SUV's loaded down with the kids and family.
Well I plan on making another trip at the end of month, who knows which resort I will go to though. Maybe something near the lake just for the view.

Well I will keep going up to Tahoe as long as time and my wallet allows. If anyone knows of a cheaper place to stay than that Travelodge, I would be a happy man.
I have been boarding Utah for over a decade and this is the first time I have been anywhere but Utah in the states. Today was like spring skiing, conditions were great, sun, snow everything. I never even ran into the "Sierra Cement" that I had heard rumours about.
